Process_Description:: Original dataset from WVDOT contained a number of attribute fields that were removed before publication to the WVGISTC Data Clearinghouse. The simplified dataset contains location attributes and year of construction, while any potentially sensitive internal agency and physical feature attributes, were removed. These fields included: Unique Bridge ID, Bridge Number, Direction, Route Location, Bridge Type, Length, Width, Vehicle Accessibility, Function Class, National Highway System status, Federal Functional Classification, Legal Road Load, Material for Main Span of Bridge, Number of Approach Spans, Number of Main Spans, Highway District Number, Average Daily Traffic and Route Sign System.
