Abstract: Cabell County WV Orthophotography
Purpose:
The task order consisted of new ADS40 color digital imagery covering the entire 281 square mile project area including a 500' buffer zone outside the county. The aerial imagery was acquired at flying height capable of producing 1"=100' scale orthoimagery with a 0.5-foot pixel resolution.
Supplemental_Information:
In addition to aerial imagery, LiDAR was captured at 1-meter average post spacing.

Digital orthophotography was validated through a visual inspection of control points, edge matching and general image quality. The following methods were utilized to insure image quality: 1. Use of GPS targeted or photo-ID control throughout the project area during acquisition. 2. Use of Airborne GPS and redundant basestations during acquisition. 3. Visual inspection of surveyed target and photo-ID control against final orthophotography. 4. Final visual check of orthophotography for color balance, tonal quality, and accuracy
