ESRI ArcExplorer
ArcExplorer is a lightweight GIS data viewer developed by ESRI. This freely available software offers an easy way to perform basic GIS functions. ArcExplorer is used for a variety of display, query, and data retrieval applications and supports a wide variety of standard data sources. It can be used on its own with local data sets or as a client to Internet data and map servers.
An .e00 (E-zero-zero) file is an ArcInfo coverage converted into an ASCII text file intended for exchange between two ArcInfo systems on different platforms. They are not intended for compression, but they have become popular as exchange files. To convert an .e00 file to an ArcInfo coverage, download the FREE ArcExplorer 1.1 Import Utility. If you have ESRI ArcView GIS use the Import71 utility.
